A piano combines significant weight with sensitive internal parts, which is why it should always be moved by an experienced crew with proper equipment.
Measure the route
Check doorways, hallways and stairs at both properties. Let your movers know about tight corners or steps in advance.
Close and secure the lid
Lock the fallboard if possible and remove any items stored on top of the instrument.
Plan for tuning
Changes in temperature and humidity affect tuning. Allow the piano to settle for two to three weeks before booking a tuner.
Our crews use padded covers, piano skids and straps to protect both your instrument and your home.
